24 Hour Special - SOLD OUT

I have been experimenting very thoroughly over
the last 6 months with something that I call
Maxi-Sites.

What this is is extremely large sites of 100s
if not 1000s of articles which then attract
large amounts of visitors from the search
engines using long tail keywords.

My largest is nearly 70,000 pages and is crawled
like crazy by Google many times every day.

Here is a screen shot taken today of the number
of pages that are currently indexed by Google:

Search in Google
Before I go any further, let me tell you that
none of these pages are unique. They are all
made up of PLR articles that I have either purchased
or downloaded from a PLR membership site.

But am I penalized by duplicate content? No. Not
at all. In fact, I have several maxi-sites which
use exactly the same articles but both sites are
still indexed for those page.

So you may be wondering just how much traffic I
receive:

Stat Counter Stats
Well, that is an image from the last 7 days
of my Statcounter account.

Or if you prefer a different format, here is
my AWStats which runs on the server itself.

AW Stats Statistics

As you can see, on this particular site, I receive
about 2.5k visitors a day. (This is one of seven that I currently
have of these maxi-sites). But you are probably
wondering how this transfers into revenue.

Well here is a screenshot of the past 7 days
from my Adsense account showing the channel
data for this site:

Adsense Statistics For Last 7 Days on Maxi Site
(Certain columns have been blacked out to
stay within the terms and conditions of Adsense)

On average, this site brings in about $50 day
in, day out like clockwork.
You are probably wondering why if these maxi-sites
are so profitable then why do I only have 7?

The reason is that they take an incredible amount
of time to build. Not only do I have to source
the articles, but I also have to clean them and
get them ready to turn into a website.

I then have to organize them into folders and
use a script which I have written to create the
website. I also need to design the website in a
way which will ensure that the search engines
will like it.

I would estimate that it takes me
approximately 50 working hours in order to create
just one of these sites. And that is even after
the practice of creating similar sites previously!
I have just finished creating another maxi-site.
This one is about 850 pages and covers a large
number of niches.

You can see the finished site at:

http://www.discoverthisinfo.com/

I decided to do something slightly different
this time and offer an opportunity for you to
also take advantage of the 51 hours that I have
taken in order to build this site.

(Yeah…if you are doing the math, it costs me
thousands of dollars in order to build each one
of these. But it is totally worth it, as each
one proves extremely profitable within just a few
months.)

So this is the special:

For the next 24 hours, you can take advantage of
the investment that I have made of this site and
obtain an exact clone of it. You just need to
change one file and that will change the adsense
ads across the whole site to your account. You can
even put other ads in there also or change the
positions if you wish as the whole site is built
on a simple template structure.

For the next 24 hours, you can order by clicking
on the following link.

*****LINK REMOVED - SOLD OUT*****

Through experimentation, I have found that duplication
of these kind of sites makes very little difference.
Perhaps because of the sheer size. But I don’t want
to take any risk on my investment and therefore I
am only going to sell a limit of 50. Once they are
gone, I will never sell it ever again. And after the
24 hours is up, the price will increase.

*****LINK REMOVED - SOLD OUT*****

If you are worried about being able to get this
site live then I am also offering another option.
This is that I will register a domain name for you
and also host your site for 12 months on one of
my dedicated servers. This means that you literally
need to do nothing more than click on the link
below. You can purchase this option for just $50
more and your site will be set up within 24 hours.

*****LINK REMOVED - SOLD OUT*****

I don’t guarantee your earnings with one of these
maxi-sites. However, you must realize that I would
not have spent the time building another one if
I was not sure that it would be profitable for me.

As a bonus, I have also included all of the articles
that are included on this site in a seperate file. You
are free to do whatever you want with these 850 articles.

So, to summarize, for the first option you will receive:
- 850 page site
- 850 articles

*****LINK REMOVED - SOLD OUT*****

For the second option you will receive:

- 850 page site set up for you
- 850 articles
- domain name registration (of your choice)
- web hosting of your site for 1 year.

*****LINK REMOVED - SOLD OUT*****

This offer will expire in 24 hours or when 50 sites
are sold, whichever comes sooner. Do NOT miss out
on this opportunity.

    Hi Ben,

As ever you over deliver. Large article based websites are great but the time spent on researching the articles can be considerable.

Count me as one of your supporters and keep these great products coming.

    Ben,
I am curious to know why the sites are not penalized for duplicate content. Niches in a Box sites are similar to this and they always seemed to be penalized.

Also, what type of promotion did you do for the site that earns 50 bucks per day?

    Regards,
    Chris

  3. Ben Shaffer Says:

    Hi Chris,

I am not really able to give you a definitive answer as to why they are not penalized - or more correctly totally penalized.

I can only theorize that it is due to the size and also due to different inbound links and text.

If you caught Jonathan Leger’s recent report on search engine myths, he went into quite a lot of details regarding duplicate content. If there is interest, I will try and gain access to it for you as I believe he has now pulled it off the market.

The promotion that I have done for that particular site is to link to it from another high pr site right at the beginning so that the search engines found it.

For more niche sites, I use http://www.linktriangles.com but am unable to with these maxi-sites as they are multi-topiced. In the past I have also been able to get free links from DMOz for subsections although you need to be lucky with the section editor.

My next step is to try and swap links in order to index your site better.

    I hope that this helps.

  4. Les Says:

I was wondering if you can grow the site by adding more articles or categories

    Thanks!

  5. CJ of GCCD Says:

    Hi Ben,

I just refreshed this page and read Chris’s comment about duplicate content. Jonathan Legere is absolutely correct in his Search Engines Myths. I have several HyperVRE websites and they achieve both page rank and traffic. If you know anything about HyperVRE you will know that they use duplicate content although there are options to insert unique content. I have never bothered with the unique content for these sites.

Regarding links, have you considered writing a script for three way linking in the same way as linktriangles.com?

    UPDATE

I have received many questions by helpdesk. If you think that your question will also help others, I would really appreciate it if you could post it here.

The main queries have been regards to whether you can add more articles and categories.

The left hand menu is on one file which is included on every page so you can just edit one file in order to add more categories. There is no backend script however in order to add more articles by wysiwyg. If there is enough demand, then I will try and add it on future sites.

With regards to the hosted option, you will have access to your space like you would on any other host. So far, I have received fewer domain details than orders taken for the hosted version, so please do let me have your details if you have already ordered at http://www.replytoben.com

Let me know if there are any other questions which haven’t been answered,

    Ben Shaffer

PS. There are now less than 25 sites left.

  7. Tom Says:

    Ben,

looking at the source code your site uses the new google ad blocks that create an ad slot number and add a date created to the publisher id.

My question is, will the ads still show if you just replace the publisher id?

I ask because I tried this with a recent niche site and the ads did not show until I created them in my adsense account and changed the slot number and creation date along with the pub id (used search & replace).

    Tom

  8. Ben Shaffer Says:

    Hi Tom,

Good question. i am not sure of the answer. However, with this site, it is very easy to just replace the whole ad with one created on your account. You only need to change it in one file.

If you need help then just drop me a line.

    Best wishes,

    Ben Shaffer

  9. Lyn Says:

    Ben,

If these sites basically all work in the same way, and all cover zillions of subjects, why do you have 7 x 850, rather than 1 huge site?

  10. Tom Says:

Ok I got you. Like using includes.

That should be easy enough. I like the nice clean layout.

    Thanks,
    Tom

  11. Peter Says:

    Hello Ben,

I like this oppertunity as I am quite lazy but do you agree with me that if 50 people are running this same website, the adsense income per click would be as low as one or two cents.

    regards,
    Peter

  12. Ben Shaffer Says:

    Lyn,
I use several sites as I find that that is what works best and gets the most pages indexed. I am not sure from an SEO point of view why that works, but if something creates the most revenue for me, then I tend to stick with it.

    Robert,
I am not sure why it would affect the CPC. It may affect the traffic that you receive, but can’t see any reason why it would affect the income per click.

  13. Lyn Says:

    Dear Ben,

Thanks for the new files. It works a treat.

    Best,
    Lyn
