Ben’s Sunday Rant
I hope that all is good with you. This morning, I had the misfortune
of having to go on a long journey. Well, it wasn’t actually meant to
be a long journey but because of the rain there were ridiculous
numbers of cars on the road. So although I didn’t travel a huge
distance, the amount of time that it took to travel this not too
distant journey was directly disproportional.
Which kinda go me thinking…
When you are caught in traffic in an automatic car, there is really
not a lot to do. Especially if your CD player is bust because your
daughter thought that it would be funny to cover it in honey
I often start daydreaming about what would have the greatest effect
and change on my business. I also think about what my business is
all about. Generally, that comes to the same thing…
What we are in essence doing in almost any business is buying high
and selling low. The variables which create a successful business
generally vary but still apply to the same concept.
Let’s look at some online marketing activities and see how it applies:
Affiliate Marketing
You ‘buy’ traffic and send it to someone else’s site because you think
that you can make more money by letting them monetize that traffic
Advertising eg. Adsense etc.
Once again you ‘buy’ that traffic and send it to somebody else’s
site.
Product Creation
You create a product and sell it to somebody else because you consider
that you can make more money by selling it to that person than keeping
it yourself.
and the list goes on…
In a sense, all business in arbitrage. Online, that especially applies.
If you could buy as much traffic as possible and be paid more for that
traffic than you pay for it, then you will make a huge profit.
This falls down though when either:
1. You can’t find enough traffic to buy at the prices where you will
make a profit.
2. You can’t make money from the traffic which you have previously
purchased.
How about though, if I could find you as much traffic as you want to
buy and also a place to sell that traffic that are willing to take
as much as you have to sell?
Does that sound like the perfect business?
Yum yum
Watch out for my email tomorrow where I will tell you more about
an opportunity where you will be able to do just that.
Best Wishes,
Ben Shaffer
