The Subconscious Mind And A Positive Attitude

I don’t live in the United States, but as Tax-Day (April 17th)
approaches I am noticing an unusual trend. The tension levels on
the internet are rising around me. It seems that everywhere I look
reveals that people are stressed. Even here in the anonymous world
of Cyberspace.

Stress is one of life’s killer problems and one that often goes
unnoticed and unfortunately untreated.

According to Joshua Levine, stress can:

- cause sleep disorders, leaving you fatigued and more prone to
accidents and illness.
- cause anxiety, nervousness and irritability, making it difficult
to get along with people.
- affect your concentration, making you perform poorly at school or
on the job.
- cause weight gain or weight loss.
- weaken the immune system, making you more susceptible to colds
and other diseases, possibly even some types of cancer.
- spur you to abandon healthy habits, such as exercising and eating
well, which may, in turn, create other health problems.
- be a contributing factor that makes digestive problems worse.
- be a key contributing factor in many conditions, such as heart
disease, high blood pressure, headaches, and arthritis.

Sorry if this scares you or causes you concern, but as you can see,
an extremely useful exercise will be for you to identify what makes
you stressed.

Your subconscious mind can feed on thoughts of defeat or thoughts
of success and that in turn causes negative of positive chemical
connections in your mind.

Consider the following chain reaction:

What you spend your time thinking about or dwelling upon will leave
an impression on your mind and that will in turn affect how you
deal with anything that happens to you in the future.

It’s simple really. If you give up and get frustrated with
something, that frustration will have a negative impact on the rest
of your activities. On the other hand if you set your mind to
focus, you work hard and find a productive solution, the impact of
that victory will be seen throughout the rest of your actions.

Stress must be defeated by the power of confidence.

A problem lies in keeping both emotions in check. No one can
function with too much stress hanging over their heads, but at the
same time no one can handle a person whose ego has gotten the
better of him. It’s the classic tightrope.

Sometimes we must battle; other times the fight will end the same
way whether we fight or not. Sometimes it’s important to remember
that we can always just walk away and focus our attention on
something else.

You are the master of your attitude and because of that you can
control your effectiveness, productivity, and results in both your
business and personal life.

The choice is really yours. It may take some effort to train
yourself to think a certain way, but it’s worth it. That effort
will translate to your subconscious and make for a better you.
Don’t let stress and other negative attractions effect your
production.

Change your attitude for the better and you will soon see extremely
powerful positive results!

I am really interested in your reactions to the above and whether
you agree that having a positive attitude can lead to success.

One Response to “The Subconscious Mind And A Positive Attitude”

  1. Henry Griner Says:

You are spot on Ben, Stress is a Killer and here on the Internet the 90-95% of the folks that are struggling trying to make money are running at a High Level of stress. As you know, that majority will fail and failure is stressful especially for those that do not learn from it and move past it.

I was there myself for the first 1 1/2yrs of learning about online marketing and trying lots of areas, products and “secrets” that where going to make me successful. I learned a bunch, failed often, was successful in some areas and made several thousand dollars but, it was not enough to cut the stress level and pay off the high CC bills I had run up.

I found a solution that involves vacation travel and earning high commissions for sharing my business with others. My wife and I have scheduled our first mini-getaway for this coming weekend with more to come. The income is beginning to pickup “nicely” and my stress level is already dropping.

We now have a business where we do not need to do the actual “selling” and still make a minimum commission of $1000US for each sale. That is really helping to reduce my level of stress.

Thanks for sharing you posting about stress. Let’s hope many stop and think about what you shared and take action to reduce their levels of stress.

Wishing you a wonderful 2007 from Minnesota, USA
    Henry
