Undercover Profits

I am not sure if it is just me, but recently there seem to have been an unusually high number of launches of products which give advice about. Some have made ‘happy’ purchasers and some seem to lack real value. What I am starting to realize more and more is that the products which stick out for me are those which enable me to actually profit.

What do I mean by that?

An ebook is all very well and may contain some very important or enlightening information. But once I have read the ebook, can I then go and use that information in order to put money into my pocket?

Tactics are great, and can be used profitably. But what is more attractive to me is a system. And not just any system, but a system which has a strong backbone to it and has been proven to work.

Three products which I have promoted recently come to mind:

1. Day Job Killer
2. Easy Article Site Builder
3. Visitor Sense Videos

Day Job Killer gave both tactics and a system. It told me how I could right now put a plan into effect to beat other Clickbank affiliates and start to create large affiliate commissions. A lot of people purchased the ebook and didn’t put the system into place. However, those that did saw large earnings which are often recurring from the same campaign.

Easy Article Site Builder is a quick and easy way to create a cash-pulling website from articles or private-label-rights content that you have on your hard-disk. In the video on the sales page, I showed how I produced a website in under 10 minutes. The website produced is still making money for me every day and I am sure will continue to for a long time into the future!

Visitor Sense Videos is one of my most favorite products (ever). Why? Because in the videos, it shows you step-by-step how to create money-pulling sites which will bring visitors to your site and rank you in the search engines in less than 24 hours. I am proud to sell this product as mainly because I receive emails from customers saying that this is the first time that they have made money on the internet. And not only that, but that it is a system that they can replicate many times.

Yesterday I signed up to a membership site called Undercover Profits. You may not have heard of it as so far it has only been released to a very few people. In fact, they are only allowing 300 memberships in all. As far as I can tell, the reason for the limited number of memberships is:

1. If too many people were to use the tactic, then it would become less effective
2. It doesn’t have official authorization from Google and therefore is using a backdoor. If too many people were using it, then it is likely that Google would do something about it and try to close that backdoor.

So what is the general idea behind Undercover Profits?

In order to create a successful affiliate campaign using Google Adwords, you must have it running for a number of days and keep testing it and tweaking it. Undercover Profits takes away the need to do this yourself.

How much would you give me to show you a successful affiliate campaign that will make you money again and again?

This is in essence what Undercover Profits does. It looks at Adwords ads for a period of time. The theory is, that the longer that they are active, the more likely that they are successful. By studying somebody else’s campaign you can therefore see what is successful and create your own campaign around it.

So how does it do this?

You tell it what keywords it should monitor. For example, I have asked it to monitor “Garden Tools” (without the “”s). It then find all the ads that come up when that search is done on Google. It then tells you which of these are affiliate ads. It then monitors these keywords every day that you want it to. In theory, if an advertiser is advertising with the same keyword and the same ad for a reasonable period of time, it is likely that they have a profitable campaign going. It is then up to you to improve on their campaign in order to profit.

Does it work? Well, John Jonas (the creator) claims to have had many successful Beta-Testers. Some of the names I recognize as people that I trust. However, in my opinion the proof is in the pudding.

As soon as I signed up, I started to create several campaigns. The user-interface is very intuitive to use and each campaign only took about 30 seconds to create. All you need to do is input the keyword phrase or phrases that you wish to monitor. It then showed me affiliate ads that appeared on Google when that keyword phrase was entered. With only 1 day’s worth of data it is almost impossibly to see what is profitable. However, it did give me several ideas on what products I could create.

Let me give you an example:

1. I used the keyword phrase “Garden Tools”
2. There was an affiliate ad that came up in a high position on Google Adwords. I know this because Undercover Profits told me.
3. I was able to see the affiliate program which was being used to promote this product.
4. I signed up to this program (it was through Linkshare) by going to the website and finding out information about their affiliate program. Luckily, I was accepted to the program within about an hour.
5. I went to Google Adwords and created an ad similar to the original but in my opinion was better and would have a better CTR.
6. I used a tactic that I learnt from Day Job Killer to ensure that my ad appeared top for that keyword phrase.

Is this campaign profitable?

It is too early to tell yet. I have had a couple of sales but they may just have been beginners luck. And also the commission on them was very low. However, if it is not profitable, then I will just delete that campaign and create another. Since last night, I have created eleven. I don’t have any clicks on 5 of them. Two of them have produced sales and four of them are yet to produce sales.

The theory behind this product is very good. What is important to me though, is not just the theory but also whether at the end of the day it makes me money. It is not cheap to become a member so in order for it to satisfy the outlay it will have to start doing that very fast.

There are a few things which I think could be improved:

1. I would like more info and/or instruciotn on how to use it. There are two videos which guide you on how to use the members’ section. However, I would also like to see a forum where I can mix with other members. I would also like to have more guidance on how I should be doing it. For example, should I be using keywords that are searched many times a day and are very competitive or be after the long-tail profitable keywords?
2. There is a limit on the number of keywords that can be checked each day. At present it is 750. While that is a huge amount, for the amount that I am paying I would expect that to be increased. However, there is an option to purchase more if you would like at a very low cost.

The other thing that may stop this working for you is lack of patience. The more days that you leave it running for, the more powerful it will be for you. If you need something that will give you instant results then this is not for you. If you can wait 5-7 days or even longer then you will be able to create very profitable campaigns.

There is a guarantee on your membership fee, but it is only 7 days. The reason that it is so short, is that he doesn’t want people using it and abusing it for a month and then asking for a refund. In my opinion this is a shame, as I would like to try it out for longer and realize the profitability before I make the commitment. However, I am pretty sure that within 7 days I will also have enough data to know if this is a profitable method for me.

So in summary:

I am recommending you to try Undercover Profits mainly because it is something that I am trying out myself because I can see the value in the theory behind it. I believe that it will create incredible profits for me. However, if it does not within the next 7 days then I will cancel and get a refund. If it does, then I will probably stay with it for years and name my next child after it because of the affiliate checks it will create for me.

If you would like to join me, or just discover more about what I am describing then please go to:

http://www.clarifywithben.com/recommends/undercover

It launches officially on 27th March at Noon EST, however before that you can see some videos which show you exactly how it works and will give you examples of profitable campaigns.

Best Wishes,

Ben Shaffer

PS. I thought that I would just explain why I have joined now as opposed to waiting for a few weeks or months. That is because there are a limit of only 300 places. From what I have heard, over half have gone in the last 24 hours. I want to be sure that I have my place and that I can try it out.

    Ben,

Thanks for the info on Undercover Profits. In your email you mentioned Pipeline Profits and that was a mistake to purchase. Could you explain why?

    Rick

  2. Ben Shaffer Says:

    Hi Rick,

I don’t really like criticizing someone else publicly, but the reason that I refunded was mistake I felt very overpromised and underdelivered. For $2,000 that I paid I expected a lot more. I was not buying into hype, I was buying into a product which I hoped would move my business forward. That was not delivered by the publishers.

    I hope that this helps,

    Ben Shaffer

    Well Ben,
I to found Pipeline profits not suitable. My reason was as you had to deal with people you would have to do it at night because of time difference.

I told you about http://www.My-Affiliate-Store.com I don’t know if you followed it up but I would like you to look at http://www.My-Affiliate-Store.com/WMVDemo

    Ben,

In the same way that the software behind XRay Domination is pretty well redundant (just add a unique tracker ID manually for heaven’s sake) then Keyword Elite has already been doing the same job as Undercover Profits for some time now, only for a single one-off software cost instead of $291 a month! Affiliate Project X and Day Job Killer were the last ebooks worth spending good money on, and NicheBot and Keyword Elite do everything else for minimal outlay.

    Hello Ben –
I also managed to get in to Undercover profits yesterday.
Its a simple enough interface but I was not impressed with the instruction Videos.

After all these guys wroe the software and there are only 2 videos in there.

They dont seem to be very clear as to which keywords you should use after identifying an affiliate product.

Is’nt the whole point of the sofware is that after identifying the aff product – you take those keywords that have been running and use them as exact match ??. Still not sure

I sent John Jahn a message to ask him for more detailed instructions – especially on a program that is like you said qute expensive.

    Thanks and take care

    Hi Ben,
I too like you purchased Undercover Profits and would like more instruction on how to use it best.
I only created one campaign so far.
I don’t see any reason why separating the keywords into campaigns would help me.
    Perhaps you can explain.
I just created a list of 218 keywords so far and after reading your post I’m wondering if I should have put quote ” ” around them all… ???
I didn’t even think about quotes or brackets…
    I just create a list.
I’d be very interested in your thoughts.
    Thanks,
    Don

new product comes out but again just out of touch

  10. Jeff Says:

Here’s my opinion. Undercoverprofits is overpriced for its value. $50/month – maybe. $300 – no.

I would be surprised to see most purchasers to continue to spend $300/month for this tool. My prediction is that subscribers will unsubscribe after a month or two.

If I need to do this – I’ll use the poor man’s version in keyword elite or other available options. Undercoverprofits has value but not $300/month for me.

  11. Allen Harp Says:

The price they quote…is that a one time fee, an annual fee or a monthly fee?
    Thanks

  12. Ben Shaffer Says:

    Hi Colin,

I did check out the URL that you gave me. However, I am not quite sure your connection with it. In addition, it is not launched yet from what I can tell. Apart from that, it looks good.

    Chris

Although Keyword Elite is an excellent piece of software (Can be purchased from http://www.clarifywithben.com/recommends/keywordelite ) I would disagree that it does the same job. UCP does a lot which KE doesn’t do and is presented in a way which is much simpler to use for this specific purpose.

    Hamant,Don,

I agree with you with regards to the instruction available and have sent an email to John about this. From what I understand, they are working on further documentation.

I use seperate campaigns in order to keep everything organized and so that I can compare like with like. A bit like in Adwords itself

    Allen,

    That is a one-time-fee

    Jeff,

It is a lot of money. It is too early to comment on whether you are correct or not. However, if it continues to work for me and produces a multiple of my membership fee, then I am unlikely to cancel as are others
